Domenico Galì was born in 1974 in Messina. He begins to study the guitar at the age of 5 under the guide of Maestro Francesco Tornabene. With Maestro Giuseppe Morabito he reaches the middle completion at the conservatory “A.Corelli” in Messina and then brilliantly graduates at the conservatory “Nino Rota” in Monopoli instructed by Maestro Ferdinando Di Modugno. Then follow the studies with Maestro Battisti D’Amario at the “Arts Academy” in Rome where he wins a scholarship as the best guitar player. He frequents numerous classes of perfection with masters of international fame like Oscar Giglia, Alirio Diaz ( classical guitar ), Enrique Vargas ( flamenco guitar), Tommy Emmanuel ( finger style guitar) Then he obtains the second degree diploma in musical disciplines ( antique guitar ) with Maestro Stefano Magliaro at the conservatory “Domenico Cimaros” in Avellino. He can show up with quite a many concerts as a soloist or as a member of chamber orchestras in Italy and abroad such completing his ability. He wins numerous national and international competitions as e.g. “The conquest of the classical guitar” in Milan where he is awarded the Ambrogino d’Oro. Further competitions follow like the one in Stresa and Castelfidardo etc.
Besides his constant commitment to improve and enlarge his repertoire he coordinates and promotes concerts and teaching activities with the intend to deepen and valorise the many aspects of music.
He is a profound admirer and collector of the Italian and Spanish lutery. In fact he plays a guitar of the lutery “Pedro De Miguel” of Madrid.
At the moment he goes on with his concert activities as a soloist or within camera orchestras. Furthermore he is a teacher at the music schools of the Province of Messina.
